SovSafe · Sovereign range

UV sterilisers that disinfect without chemicals.

SovSafe sterilisers use ultraviolet light to inactivate bacteria and viruses as water flows past. Nothing is added, so taste and minerals stay the same. Choose a whole-site unit or a compact one for a single outlet, installed by our team in Saudi Arabia.

Filter plus UV

Regent filtration with SovSafe

UV needs clear water, as particles can shade microbes from the light. We fit the right filter before the steriliser.

  • Mechanical pre-filtration first
  • Chlorine taste removed with carbon
  • UV as the final barrier
  • One team to install and service

How UV works

Light that stops microbes from multiplying.

UV-C light damages the DNA of bacteria and viruses, so they cannot reproduce. It is a physical process: nothing goes into the water.

Step 1

Filter first

Pre-filtration

Water passes a mechanical filter before the steriliser. Clear water lets the light reach every microbe.

What it removes
  • Sediment and particles
  • Cloudiness that shades microbes
  • Chlorine taste (with carbon)

Why it matters: Pre-filtration is required for UV to work as designed.

Step 2

UV chamber

UV-C at 254 nm

Water flows through a stainless chamber around a lamp in a quartz sleeve, receiving a measured dose of UV-C.

What it inactivates
  • Bacteria
  • Viruses
  • Up to 99.9% at the DNA level

Why it matters: It disinfects without chemicals, so taste and minerals are unchanged.

Step 3

Keep it working

Annual service

Lamps lose strength with use, so they are changed at around 9,000 hours, about once a year.

What we check
  • Lamp hours
  • Quartz sleeve clean and clear
  • Pre-filter condition

Why it matters: A tired lamp or dirty sleeve lowers the dose.

UV does not remove hardness, chlorine or particles. It is the final barrier after filtration, not a replacement for it.

Why UV

Safer water, nothing added.

Chemical-free

Physical disinfection
  • No chlorine added
  • No change to taste
  • Minerals left as they are
  • No by-products

Protects people

A barrier at the point it counts
  • Useful after storage tanks
  • Protects dispensers and vending
  • Suits clinics and food venues
  • Works on every litre that flows

Simple to run

Low running costs
  • About one lamp change a year
  • 10 W to 85 W power draw
  • Stainless-steel chambers
  • Serviced by our own engineers

Why SovSafe

Part of a system, not a bolt-on.

We fit SovSafe as the last stage of a treatment system, after the right filter, so the dose is delivered as designed.

  • Sized to your flow, not a guess
  • Pre-filtration matched to your supply
  • Stainless chambers with quartz sleeves
  • Pair with a maintenance plan from a fixed annual fee
Your questions answered

UV sterilisers, straight answers.

Q1What does a UV steriliser do?
It passes water past an ultraviolet lamp. The UV-C light damages the DNA of bacteria and viruses so they cannot multiply. SovSafe datasheets give up to 99.9% inactivation.
Q2Does UV change the taste of water?
No. Nothing is added to the water. Taste and minerals stay the same.
Q3Do I need a filter before the UV?
Yes. Pre-filtration is required. Particles can shade microbes from the light, so we fit the right filter before every steriliser.
Q4How often does the lamp need changing?
The lamps are rated for about 9,000 hours, which is roughly one change a year. We can handle it on a maintenance plan.
Q5Which model do I need?
The SW24 treats the whole supply, up to 5.4 m3/h. The SW60 protects a single outlet, such as a dispenser or under-sink filter. Tell us about your site and we recommend the right one.
Q6Do you install and service it?
Yes. Our engineers install every SovSafe system and can look after it on a maintenance plan across Saudi Arabia.
Local notes

SovSafe in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh's desalinated share travels roughly 450 to 470 km inland before it reaches the city, then often waits in a roof tank through the summer. A Saudi Water Authority study links longer transport and higher temperatures to some quality excursions.

A SovSafe UV steriliser deals with that at the building. The SW24 treats a whole villa or compound block, and the SW60 sits inside a sink cabinet to guard a single dispenser. Each one runs behind a pre-filter, with a yearly lamp change.

Common questions

Why fit UV in a Saudi home?

Because water can change between the plant and your tap. Long pipelines, roof tanks and summer heat all play a part. UV inactivates bacteria and viruses as the water flows past.

Does UV soften the water?

No. UV disinfects but does not touch hardness. On a groundwater blend such as Riyadh's, a Regal softener or RO unit handles the scale, and UV goes after it.

Where does the UV unit go in a Saudi building?

After the roof tank and pump, behind a pre-filter. The SW24 treats the whole supply, and the SW60 sits at a single drinking tap or dispenser.

In Saudi Arabia

Supplied, installed and serviced in Saudi Arabia

Saudi supply is a mix of desalinated water and groundwater. Where groundwater is blended in, as in Riyadh, the water can be hard enough to scale heaters and machines, so we check your supply before choosing a system.

Tell us your city, whether the site is on mains or tanker water, and what the system is for. We specify it, quote in riyals and install it.
