Filtration for roof tanks and well water.

In Saudi Arabia water often waits in a roof tank through the summer heat, and wells can bring iron and manganese with them. Regent removes the sediment, staining and taste that result, before water reaches taps, boilers and equipment. It covers villas and cafés with cartridge housings, and hotels, compounds and plants with self-cleaning vessels.

How Regent filters

Three ways to clear the water.

Regent removes what you can see, smell and taste. The method depends on your flow and on what your tank or well adds.

Cartridge

Cartridge filter

Big Grey housings

A replaceable cartridge, chosen for your water, sits in the line. When it is spent, it is changed.

Handles
  • Sand and sediment
  • Chlorine taste and smell (carbon)
  • Discoloured water

Why it matters: Simple protection for a villa or small business.

Depth media

Depth filter

Regent Sediment 3072

Filter-AG traps particles through the full depth of the bed. A metered backwash lifts it and flushes the dirt to drain. With Birm media it also removes iron.

Handles
  • Silt and turbidity
  • Suspended solids
  • Iron and manganese from wells (Birm)

Why it matters: It protects softeners, membranes and pumps after it.

Activated carbon

Carbon filter

Regent Carbon 3072

A carbon bed adsorbs chlorine and organics. Backwash re-sorts the bed so water does not cut channels through it.

Handles
  • Chlorine and chloramine
  • Roof-tank taste and smell
  • Dissolved organics

Why it matters: Carbon protects RO membranes and softener resin from chlorine.

Regent does not soften or disinfect. Groundwater in the Riyadh blend has measured 197 to 281 mg/l hardness, which needs a Regal softener. For bacteria, add SovSafe UV after the filter.

Why filter first

What clean water does for your property.

Protects equipment

Less wear downstream
  • Fewer blocked valves and nozzles
  • Longer RO membrane life
  • Softener resin kept clean
  • Pumps and boilers protected

Better water

You can see and taste it
  • Clear water, no staining
  • Less chlorine and tank taste
  • Better tea and coffee
  • Cleaner ice

Easy to live with

Low maintenance
  • Self-cleaning 3072 vessels
  • Backwash by metered volume
  • Proven Clack control valves
  • Service plans in riyals

Why Regent

The same engineering, any size of site.

Regent models share proven valves and standard media, so a villa in Riyadh and a hospital plant room in Jeddah get the same quality at a different scale.

  • Media matched to mains, tanker or well water
  • The first stage before Regal softening and RO
  • Twin units for round-the-clock sites
  • Maintenance plan from a fixed annual fee
Your questions answered

Regent filters, questions answered.

Q1What does each type of filter remove?
Sediment filters hold back silt, sand and rust. Carbon filters remove chlorine, taste, odour and organics. Birm media removes iron and manganese. Many sites use sediment first, then carbon.
Q2Do I need cartridges or a backwash filter?
Cartridge housings suit villas and small sites up to 5.0 m3/h. Backwash vessels suit hotels, compounds and plants, and clean themselves so there are no cartridges to change.
Q3When do cartridges need replacing?
Typically every 6 to 12 months, depending on your water and usage. We set the interval when we size the system and can change them on a maintenance plan.
Q4Will a filter deal with hard water?
No. Hardness comes from dissolved calcium and magnesium, which filters do not remove. A Regal softener does, and Regent protects it by filtering first.
Q5Can a filter make water safe from bacteria?
No. For that we add a SovSafe UV steriliser after the filter. UV works best on filtered water, so the two are often fitted together.
Q6Who installs Regent in Saudi Arabia?
Our team installs Regent systems in Riyadh, Jeddah and other cities, and can service them on a maintenance plan in riyals.
Local notes

Regent in Saudi Arabia

Saudi water often sits in roof tanks through the summer heat before it reaches a tap, and wells can bring iron and manganese with them. Both show up as sediment, staining and taste.

Regent covers the range: Big Grey cartridges for homes and cafés, and 3072 vessels with Filter-AG, carbon or Birm media for hotels, compounds and plants in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Common questions

Can Regent remove iron from well water?

Yes. The Regent Sediment 3072 can take Birm media, which removes iron and manganese.

Does a roof tank affect my water?

It can. Water held in a hot tank can pick up sediment and lose its freshness. A sediment and carbon stage at the inlet deals with both.

Should I filter or soften first?

Filter first. Sediment and iron foul softener resin, so filtration usually comes before a Regal softener.

In Saudi Arabia

Supplied, installed and serviced in Saudi Arabia

Saudi supply is a mix of desalinated water and groundwater. Where groundwater is blended in, as in Riyadh, the water can be hard enough to scale heaters and machines, so we check your supply before choosing a system.

Tell us your city, whether the site is on mains or tanker water, and what the system is for. We specify it, quote in riyals and install it.
