Our customers

Homes, compounds and kitchens.

Water in Riyadh is not the same as water in Jeddah or Dammam, and a family villa does not need what a restaurant does. We start from your supply and your use.

Home water treatment

Home

Clean drinking water from a kitchen tap, softer water for heaters and showers, and fewer cases of bottled water to carry in.

Domestic solutions →
Commercial water treatment

Commercial

Treatment and plumbed-in dispensers for offices, compounds, clinics and hotels, protecting pumps and heaters and keeping staff supplied.

Commercial solutions →
Food and beverage water treatment

Food & Beverage

Stable water for espresso, ice and steam ovens, plus chilled still and sparkling for guests, sized for a busy Saudi kitchen.

Foodservice solutions →
Drinking water for workplaces

Fresh water from the tap. Fewer cases to carry.

Many Saudi offices, clinics and restaurants still buy water by the case. We fit mains-fed taps and dispensers in their place, with filtration on site, using RoyalFlow and leading brands such as BRITA and Everpure.

  • Boiling, chilled, sparkling and still water from the same unit
  • Wall, counter and floor models for staff rooms, majlis and dining areas
  • No more stacking, storing or paying for bottled water
  • Backed by our own filtration and RO, and looked after under Comprehensive Maintenance

Why treat your water in Saudi Arabia?

About half of the Kingdom's water is desalinated seawater; most of the rest is groundwater. What reaches your tap depends on which mix your city gets and how far it has travelled.

01 · The source

Desalinated, then blended

The Saudi Water Authority produces around 6 million cubic metres of desalinated water a day from more than 30 plants. Riyadh's share is piped roughly 450 to 470 km inland from Jubail and Ras Al-Khair on the Gulf coast, and in Riyadh province local groundwater is mixed in along the way.

02 · Hardness

Soft at the plant, harder in places

The ministry caps total hardness at 300 mg/l, and the Saudi Water Authority aims for 60 to 80 mg/l in new supply. But the groundwater feeding Riyadh's blend measured 197 to 281 mg/l. Where groundwater is added, scale builds up in heaters, kettles and coffee machines.

03 · Distance and heat

A long journey to the tap

Water that travels hundreds of kilometres, then waits in a roof tank through the summer, can change on the way. The same SWA study links longer transport times and higher temperatures to some quality excursions. Filtration and UV at the point of use put that right.

How a system is built

From the inlet to the cup.

Each stage handles one problem. The order below is typical for a Riyadh restaurant on a groundwater blend; the mix of stages changes with the city and the supply.

Five-stage water treatment schematic: sediment pre-filter, activated carbon, softener, compact reverse osmosis and remineralisation cartridge
A typical five-stage layout for a Saudi café or restaurant kitchen.
  1. 01

    Pre-filter

    Particles out

Stops sand, rust and pipe debris at around 5 microns, so nothing further down the line clogs or wears early.

  2. 02

    Activated carbon

    Clean taste

Takes out chlorine and storage odours and keeps chlorine away from the RO membrane that comes next.

  3. 03

    Softener

    Against scale

Swaps out calcium and magnesium where groundwater makes the blend hard, keeping heaters, coffee machines and ice makers clear.

  4. 04

    Reverse osmosis

    Purified water

Pushes water through a fine membrane that holds back up to 99% of dissolved solids, for drinking water and dependable coffee.

  5. 05

    Remineralisation

    Taste restored

Returns a measured mineral profile to the purified water, for better flavour, stable pH and properly extracted coffee.

Comprehensive Maintenance plan

Your system checked and serviced before anything goes wrong.

We track how each filter and membrane is performing, change parts before quality slips, and keep every visit on record so the warranty holds.

  • Filter changes scheduled and parts delivered
  • Live performance readings for every site
  • Priority engineer visits with the warranty kept valid

Frequently asked

Saudi water questions, answered.

These are the questions Saudi homeowners and businesses ask us most.

QIs Riyadh tap water hard?
It can be. Desalinated water leaves the plants soft, but Riyadh's supply is blended with local groundwater that has measured 197 to 281 mg/l hardness. That is enough to scale heaters and coffee machines, so we test before recommending a softener.
QIs the water in Saudi Arabia desalinated?
About half of it is. The Saudi Water Authority runs more than 30 desalination plants, and inland cities such as Riyadh get that water through long pipelines, mixed with groundwater.
QWhat system suits a Saudi restaurant?
Most kitchens need sediment and carbon filters, a softener where the supply is hard, and RO with remineralisation for coffee and ice. We size it to your covers and your machines.
QCan a villa have filtered water at every tap?
Yes. CrownGuard treats water where it enters the villa, so kitchens, bathrooms and appliances all get filtered water.
QCan we stop buying bottled water?
Yes. A mains-fed tap or dispenser with filtration gives boiling, chilled, sparkling and still water on demand, without cases to buy or store.
QHow often do filters need changing?
Usually every 6 to 12 months, sooner on harder supplies or busy sites. Comprehensive Maintenance tracks this and sends replacements in time.
QWhere is the equipment made?
Sovereign systems are engineered in Britain and built in Europe to UK and EU water standards.
QCan you support branches in more than one city?
Yes. Businesses with branches in more than one Saudi city get one specification and coordinated servicing across them.
